Photo Information
- Titel: "Tradition, where to"
- Myanmar / Yangon (Chinatown) / Maha Bandula Road - 21 street
- March 2024 / in the night
- The photo was taken on the street named after General Maha Bandula, a national hero who fought against the British colonial army during the First Anglo-Burmese War (1824–1826). The corner of 21st Street was part of a wealthy neighbourhood known for its magnificent colonial buildings, banks and shops. Today, Maha Bandula Road remains an important business district in Yangon, known for its markets, small shops and restaurants, which, despite difficult times, offer a glimpse into the vibrant everyday life of the city. Personalities such as General Maha Bandula, General Aung San and his daughter Aung San Suu Kyi (head of government from 2015 to 2021) are closely associated with the symbolic significance of this place.

"In a world full of digital images, I offer real light art – photographed with long exposure in real locations. No AI, no montage – just a camera, light and a unique moment."
Photography is the art of capturing the moment.
