The photo was taken in front of the entrance of the “Crescent Moon Theater” on Highway 89A with a traditional movie title above the entrance and is a reminiscence to the old movie cinema theater of the West. Famous actors and movie legends spent time in Kanab, for example: John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Frank Sinatra and Robert Redford. The city is located near unique landscapes (Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon) and served as a backdrop for films such as “Planet of the Apes” and others. The legend of the Wild West lives on in the small town.
