Night is a realm of possibilities, a place where reality and illusion merge. This presentation features photographs that look like painted visions – created with a camera but inspired by the power of painting. As an artist, I immerse myself in the pulsating lifelines of urban light worlds, where artificial illuminations transform cities into vibrant organisms – dynamic scenes of a tireless flow of energy and movement.

Over a period of 14 years, the works were created on four continents – a global portrait of the worlds of light and their infinite diversity. Each photograph is the result of a single exposure. The forms and structures are shaped solely by the reality of the illuminations and the conscious control of light and time during the exposure. The photographs in this exhibition are more than mere images of urban landscapes – they are reflections of the movement, energy and unstoppable flow that characterise city life. Lights dance like brushstrokes through the darkness, telling of the agility and restlessness of a world that never stands still. Through the use of targeted technology and unique perspectives, reality is alienated, transformed and reinterpreted. Night, dominated by light and rhythm, becomes a stage for kinetic art and creative freedom.

‘Impulse of Illumination’ invites the viewer to see the craziness and dynamics of the world of light in big cities and small towns in a new way – as a reflection of a universal actionism, a symphony of light and shadow that circles endlessly and shifts the boundaries of perception.
